hi people,
aint been here for ages cos i been without a flat four for nearly 2 years,
but got another sud to "fix-up"
i have a 33 1.7 ie motor and am wondering (hoping) i can run it on carbs, but seem to recall it being said that the ie wont run on carbs ??
anyone know the correct answer here?
i would use the carbs, oil pump and distrbutor and wiring from a carbed 1.7 i killed, from an s2 33 at cadwell the summer before last... ooops !
any advice much appreciated. |

Hi,
Yes it can be done but you need to replace the rear housing to install the fuel pump. Be sure to keep the ie flywheel.

yes but keep in ming that you will have only 110hp instead of 118 due to diferences in Ie and non cat versions...... |
