i started alfasud engine conversion to a 1.7 8v alfa 33 engine with its jetronic system i have got everything sorted and the engine in but i dont have the ignition module and i cant buy a new one coz its not avilable here in egypt so iam just asking

1-can I use the vw golf 2 ignition module with some mods in the wiring ?

2-the engine has a lambda probe sensor so its the "cat converter" version acctualy i dont know to much about the cat converter can i run th engine with out it ?? or it will make problems?

it works just disconnect pin 5 and 6 and connect the yellow to pin 6 and it works , just wanted to share the info
