Hi folks, does anyone know the ignition timing for the 16v, ie how many degrees BTDC the engine fires. Because of the way I have mated the Alfa engine with the VW gearbox I had to move the timing gear and mount the sensor in the bell housing. I have a small amount of adjustment in the sensor and now want to get it accurate with a timing light. Also does anyone know the correct psi for a compression test. Cheers, Tony. |

Hi, thanks for the reply. I realize the distributor has no effect on the timing. Its the crankshaft sensor that i am trying to adjust. You wouldn't normally have to do this. But my set up is obviously not standard. |

Not sure on the exact psi for a compression test but i believe it should be around the 160 mark |
