I have a 1984 Alfa Sprint Green Cloverleaf. Its stock standard in most ways & is in need of some TLC,but is still driving everday.

Heres a pic ( it flatters some what )

If anyone has some parts spare, I might be interested. Im looking for some replacement Springs,Bushes,Seats & a good gearbox for starters.

looking foward to being an active member.

Yeah, you wouldn't be looking for a set of standard Alfa 14" wheels would you? I'll swap you! Laughing
(no, you most definitely don't recognise me or my car Wink )

Looks good. the stock exhaust looks very different from mine Razz

I can recommend the JustSuds lowering springs as on my sprint now, but shipping would be rather prohibitive i expect...

http://www.arocnz.org.nz is the Alfa Romeo Owners Club of New Zealand website, and under 'events' it lists the monthly meetings of the various major club branches. If you won't be in Auckland on the 20th of September or 18th of October, the closest meet to Queenstown would be Dunedin. =|
That website hardly ever lists one-off events because it isn't updated regularly.Closer to the time there might be something more interesting to attend.

what ever i attend it'll prolly be up on the north island. as a m8 of mine lives up there and he's got a car (will a lotus elise be welcome at an alfa meet?)

the 18th of oct sounds like a good meet as its just after my birthday.. anyway enough thread hijacking for one topic.. (sorry folks)

Hi Kiwi Sprint, Welcome. There are a couple of Haynes manuals on Trademe at present. Prices seem fair and they are well worthwhile.
Your car looks as though it might be a little lower than standard at the moment so any futher lowering could be counter productive. Those wheels are definitely aftermarket, what size are the tyres? All in all a very nice rig, the Sprint being the nicest looking of the Sud/33 genre. Look forward to chatting more through the forum.
Regards Eddie

Welcome to the forum! There are quite a few chaps from New Zealand here (not me though), and you should be able to find answers to most questions you may have.

Nice looking Sprint! Generally, I am not overly fond of aftermarket rims, but those straight cut five-spokes do look quite hot! They remind me of the period Zender wheels offered on 33's.

In what areas does it need TLC?

Hi Eddie

Ive already got a Haynes manaul with the car,but some things arent covered in the supplements that are in others apparantly.

The car looks lower for 2 reasons,The 15" wheels & the sagy front springs Laughing

Well its a deceptive picture,What it doesnt show is that a previous owner who was a cop,had some rust repairs done ,but did not get them repainted properly,so large parts of the car are just brush painted Silver,(pretty slack eh,& his brother was a panel beater.)
& theres some rust creeping back as the last owner didnt have a garage Exclamation

Mechanical work needed ,consist of :
New suspension bushes allround & new springs/shocks
New or reconditioned Gearbox
New or reconditioned 1.7 motor
New /secondhand heater unit (goes but worn out & noisy)

Interior wise it just needs some new seats, the rest is pretty good inside.

Cheers for your comments

They are 15" wheels shod with 205's (to big in my opinion) will be getting 195's later on.
