Need to find the rubber cover around the gearsick to suit 86/33 anywhere I can buy this Perth or Australia

i'd believe that any normal rubber gearstick cover would work...i took it off the other day and since i lost it i jsut took out fiat uno's |

jamie I own 16v 33 - My rubber/plastic boot ripped aswell. I took it to a rubber place and got it fixed for nothing i.e patched it up with rubber off cuts - doesn't look good but it cushions all the gear box noise and your leather covering should hide it. |

Yeah, mine broke a bit as well. Very annoying with all the noise and cold air comming in as you drive.
I fixed mine using duct tape.
It's a bit of a bother if I need to remove the gearbox, since I then have to patch it up all over again, but hey - it works fine and takes about 5 mins. _________________ //Wizz

speeking of gear sticks....i ripped the soft little sponge on mine, u know the one covering the bottim part of the gear stick...how "bad" is this i've been currently driving about a month without the sponge and it seems ok i just am very vey careful when i pass by a puddle |
