Hi,all
Try this.its for the 16v but the principles should work for 8v cars.Remove the intake manifold completly and you should be able to just about see the inlet valves through the ports.Spray some Injector cleaner from an arasol deep unto the valve/head area.Wynns do some and its avalible at halfords in the uk i dont know about overseas. You can also use more exprnsive 10k Service which is probably better but £25 per can! Anyway spray it in,using plenty and leave for 10 minutes, and repeat a few times, you may want to turn the engine over a few times to benifit more of the internals-but dont start her.It is easy to remove the injectors at this stage so do and give them a good dose of spray.Basically this is an effctive de-coke without removing the heads, and trust me you will notice the difference watch all that carbon shoot out in black smoke. Replace all parts before start up and prepair to be impressed. |
