Hi,

for sure your engine compartiment is very tidy Very Happy . I didn't know that there were 1.4ie engines with an air flow meter. Mine is also 1.4ie but equipped with Weber IAW absolute pressure based injection system.

Cheers!

Marcin

I am also a bit confused with the air-flow meter - we have a 1.3 IEL (which is the same as a 1.4) and do not have an air-flow meter. There is nothing between the air-filter and the manifold except for a small plug.

Hi,

Thanx for your replies guys - The electrical system is the Bosch Jetronic LE 3.2. To what I know this specific one was imported in Greece for more or less a year (end of 1990 - end of 1991). My car is make of 4/1991 and soon after 6-8 months the marelli-IAW 33's were imported.
The end of 1990 till 1993 was a period that the state enforced the purchase of new antipollution cars having a tree-way catalyst (using the correct word Question ) by throwing away the old ones and deducting about 3000€ from the original price of the new ones.
And so the Alfa came to replace the 1975 Seat 127 we used to have.

Regards,

I though that all of the electronically injected 1351 cc engines had the IAW system. Which engine code is specified on the tag under your bonnet?

Wow, I had no idea an '33 engine compartment could look that tidy! I shall have to try that myself. Very Happy
The intake manifold also looks very good compared to mine, just like you said Gritsop. ^_^

My '92 1.5 IE has an air flow meter that looks very like the one you have.

All you need is some engine cleaner! Here is a pic of our boxer - note: no air sensor box.
