I'm looking for rear springs for my 33 sportwagon.

Now there is too stiff springs(wire diameter 14mm) and they are too short, only 260mm without load. Don't know why somebody have put too short springs, but they are so stiff that ride height remains stock.

I'm just wondering that what springs i could put there. I don't want to lower the rear. I quess i'm going to search if there is similar diameter springs available for some other car that would fit. If the stock spring wire diameter is 11,2mm i quess something around 12mm would do the job.

hello there,

i have a set of standard rear springs from my 1985 s1 33. i bought lowering springs so don't need them anymore.
to the best of my knowledge these are the same height and coil diameter as original 4x4 springs.
If you want to pay shipping, i can send em to you. also try and contact Paul Hide, he has many spares for 33s and posts in the for sale section quite often.

all the best,

joel

Thanks for the offer. Smile First i'll look if i can find them from here(Finland). What do you think are the sedan springs too soft for sw, mainly i drive with empty car but it would be nice if they can take some load too.

With these springs the rear end is bouncy but when i had two sets of tires in back the car was very stable to drive Smile

I got an other idea. That if i could find short enough dampers(and stiff) maybe those springs would work fine. Have to make some measurements and then try t find something suitable. Smile

Today i went to local parts dealer to research for suitable springs. I ordered Fiat Brava/o rear springs. Coil diameter 124mm, wire 12mm and length 308mm. They are propably a bit stiffer than original 33 springs(wire 11,5mm).

Hi

Let us know how they work.

I could do with some new front springs for the P4 (no longer available new).

All the best

Keith

For the brava/o rear springs i have to modify the upper springstrut because the diameter decreases at the other end of the spring. But in my case it really doesn't matter as i have to make new ones despite it. My 33 at the moment: http://kuvablogi.com/nayta/1603359/ Rolling Eyes
