Hi,
i'd say it'd heavily depend on the gauge, as the diy compression testers are often proved to be quite inaccurate.
i had two of these gauges (the $30 model) show differents results on the same engine and the difference was huge (35% if i recall correctly)
i now use an old army gauge of superior quality and trust readings now.
besides, compression tests will depend on conditions. be sure to disconnect the coil's low-tension wires, to remove all plugs, apply full throttle, when testing. check difference between cold psi and hot psi, it will reveal a lot about your engine.
