Max advance of the distributor

Hello to all.
The max advance for the alfasud distributor is 36 degrees at 4500 rpm. If I exceed these rpm should there be more advance then 36 degrees.The distributor in my car gives more advance as the revs rise. Shouldnt there be any stops of doing this.
