That's what I thought to before I took of the tank, but then I saw the spotwelds. Now I'm not sure how to remove the unit.

It's not the belt.
The liquid is also correct. I'm using Dexron II.
It makes the noise only whilst steering. I know that on older cars, there is always a slight noise (very quiet) whilsdt steering. ...
